You should consider applying for the first offer if you need to pay something quite expensive in the next 3 months (like tuition fee, insurance, rent and etc). If you can spend $750 in the next 3 months, I would highly recommend you to apply for the first offer.
My experience with Discover has been very positive. Their website is very organized and their customer service is very friendly as well. Also, as I use my Discover credit card, I found out that more and more retailers and restaurants are accepting Discover credit card now. From time to time, they do have some extra cash back promotion that allowed you to earn more cash back. Furthermore, every year during the Thanksgiving and Christmas time, they usually will do some online promotion which will give you more discounts with some online retailers.
